2010 Gurus in Review

How did the gurus on the Fox Business block do with their 2010 New Year's picks and predictions? The first number is the price at the beginning of 2010, the latter the closing price for 2010.

Forbes on Fox

*Pending* (haven’t watched it yet) - Oops, never watched it.

Cashin’ In

Jonathan Hoenig: DOW 11,250 and HIT: $30.68 - $53.35.
John Bradshaw Layfield: DOW 9,500 and RIMM: $67.54 - $58.13.
Wayne Rogers: DOW 11,600 and PGJ: $24.10 - $26.64.
Jonas Max Ferris: DOW 11,000 and NOK: $12.85 - $10.32.
Tracy Byrnes: DOW 12,000 - 11577.51.

Not too many good picks, eh? Tough year for our gurus if you base it on their picks for the year. Of course, they make picks every weekend and I think Gary B. Smith caught a 245% move in Netflix. It's not all bad. Here are the benchmarks:

DOW up 11% and 13.99% with dividends. Closed at 11577.51.

SP500 up 12.8% and 15.1% with dividends. Closed at 1259.64.

Nasdaq up 16.9% and 18% with dividends. Closed at 2652.87.

Sorry I missed the Forbes gang. I recall accidentally deleting it from my DVR.
