I was reading Paul Krugman's dire forecast on housing, where he cites references that folks are glum about the "direction of the country and the war in Iraq." That didn't seem to bother folks as housing skyrocketed up until 2005. Must be something else. Speculation due to low interest rates and risky loan schemes? A bubble mentality the last few years? And doesn't Krugman work in a few anti-Bush lines in all of his columns? Good grief. Try to enjoy your cereal, Paul.
