Economic Growth Slowing? What about Stocks?

If economic growth was slowing, wouldn't the stock market start pricing that in? And soon?

Well, the stock market has raced up from the 6% correction just a few weeks ago. We are now seeing somewhat of a lull in volume, but prices keep moving ahead.

It's usually a good thing to have some items of concern out there. Wall Street loves to climb a wall of worry. And if we are all worried about high energy prices and reduced government spending as stocks claw higher, we are playing our roles.

Of course, does anyone really believe that the government will actually reduce spending? Maybe the stock market is just being cynical.
