I found it interesting that music sales are falling off, even with reduced piracy.
Weren't the music sharing folks saying that sharing music actually increased sales? So now that we are cracking down on piracy, music sales tail off. Anyone saying that they told you so?
Granted, technology is moving music to the cloud. Smartphone apps like Pandora allow you to create your own music station with the music you like. Personally, this has replaced my need to buy music.
In addition, whether it is digital downloads or streaming from the cloud, it seems that the CD is on its way out. It also would seem hay the normal 12-song disc is out, as one can buy an individual song rather than while albums anymore.
So there you go. Add music sales to the list of traditional media and entertainment that is changing and evolving with technology.
