The Election and the Market and the Warrior Girls

  • One stock market theory out there is that the market is pricing in an Obama victory and higher taxes on corporations and individuals. Could be.
  • It will be interesting to see what happens on Wednesday should the Democrats have a filibuster proof majority in the Senate. I'd expect a big move Left if that happens. Will the market sell off? Or rally?
  • Cheerleaders for the Warriors, or Barack Obama supporters? WE BELIEVE!
  • Obama is a politician, and I expect he'd immediately begin campaigning for his next term. You know, fundraisers and such. He doesn't want to be Jimmy Carter.
  • No matter if your team wins or loses tomorrow, relax. It's not the end of the world. There won't be as much change as advertised. Check out Obama's article in the NY Times today where he basically says he won't be able to deliver much of what he's promising. Shocker. Separate the campaigning from reality. $800 Billion in new spending and a tax cut for 95% of people? Uh, I think folks with 6th grade math skills may be right to suspect something a bit fishy with that.
