Twas the Night Before Obama

Twas the night before Obama
and all through the land,
Republicans were crying
"Prosperity will be banned!"

At least that's the consensus from listening to the right-wing shows today.

  • Watching the Steelers-Redskins NFL game, and halftime is all about Obama and McCain. Why not the Redskins cheerleaders?  Surely, we have heard enough from the candidates the past two years.  Yet the Redskins cheerleaders only have eight home games a year.  C'mon.
  • Obama just came out for a college football playoff system.   Forget everything else I've said, I'm going Obama.  That's a winning issue.  McCain talks about steroids.  Yawn.  Playoffs!  Playoffs!
  • Are tax credits welfareThe presidential campaigns are clashing over whether Obama's tax proposal, which would expand the ranks of those who pay no federal income tax but get a refund check, is akin to welfare
  • Money for nothin' and the chicks for free...
  • Big solar project killedCalifornia regulators effectively killed a controversial $1.3 billion transmission line that would have connected massive solar power stations in the desert to coastal cities.
  • I guess CA will just continue to import coal energy.
