Looking back at the archives, January-May 2005... (aka, Part 1!)
- Looking back on my first blog entry of 2005. Kind of amazing how similar today feels to January 2nd, 2005!
- Ooh, a good reminder to watch out for Subway sandwich lines the first few days of 2006, as folks start their New Years Diet plan.
- Remembering the American Idol kick-off 2005, and also interested in the topic of Social Security reform. Hah! That last one went off like a lead balloon!
- The day Carly went into the boardroom and heard those words, "You're fired!"
- Reality TV vs. Politics. Forgot about some of those headlines in February.
- The day my hard-drive crashed, and I eventually bought this new PC. But a good reminder to keep the backups up-to-date!
- I think March saw the housing bubble peaking. We're down a bit from that in the hottest markets.
- Man having sex with cows.
- Remember when American Idol had the voting problems, and had to have a do-over on the following night to capture votes?
- More on the real estate bubble, and flipping condo mania!
- April Fool's Day links.
- The new pope takes over. The funny thing here is the quip about needing an interim pope being like needing an interim quarterback and mentioning Vinny Testeverde. And so the Jets did later in 2005...
- In May, the WSJ article on whether or not boomers will cause a market crash when they retire and pull assets out of the market.
- Core values! I had to laugh re-reading that, because somebody at the Fun Factory brought that up this week regarding prioritizing our 2006 workload. As in, "Which tasks are most important to our core values?"
- Christian video games and other things, mid-May!
- Who can forget the Paris Hilton Carl's Jr commercial? Or maybe you wanted to see the extended version?
- "Whenever I go gambling, I lose my pants." Forgot about that one. Cute.
