Part 2, June through December 2005!
- We finaly found out who Deep Throat was!
- Ooh, I remember quitting caffeine like it was yesterday! You know, I don't even miss it. And these days, I rarely even drink a decaf coffee or tea.
- And Michael Jackson got the Not Guilty verdict! Haven't heard too much about the King of Pop since then, huh?
- I think this was the last Neighborhood Watch meeting we had. It was a good idea, but I think after the Police said "Park your cars in your garage, and keep an eye out for suspicious stuff," that was all there was to be said. Now we have football parties and 9-ball tournaments instead.
- How much do we want to remember 2005 for Tom Cruise? There was his bizarre rant on the Today Show, but he kind of Photoshopped over that with the Katie Holmes story as the year went on.
- I was overwhelmed with emotion when she emailed me back, and then told the story of why. Uh, crazy. Shouldn't have re-read that one. You know, I haven't heard from her lately. Sigh!
- The co-worker who made cookies, brought cookies to work, and didn't offer me any cookies. You know what? This same co-worker was telling me just this week how good her cookies were and that "You tried them, right?" (Her response to me telling her about The Chippery cookies.)
- I don't remember Expats making the theater...
- Hah, my recent rant on the early meeting from a couple weeks ago, and then this one about the lunchtime meetings fiasco! I guess I didn't learn the lesson about blocking out my time.
- Remember the term deferred success to put a positive spin on failure?
- I just threw out some tangerine popsicles from the back of the fridge, that looked a little iced over.
- Peter Jennings died in August.
- In a sign of more troubles to come, Terrell Owens was booted from Eagles training camp.
- When you write down a dream in a dream journal, you'll remember it like it happened yesterday when you re-read it. Like this one, about my 6th grade teacher. If I didn't write it down, I'd have forgotten about it.
- I could spend hours linking to bizarre comments from Pat Robertson. How about the one on Venezuela?
- Hurricane Katrina.
- Ooh, September started off with the Fantasy Football draft! Well, that's a good memory since I just won the league!
- High gas prices and the passing of Supreme Court Justice William Rehnquist.
- Other things I've learned from sports.
- Blogging while drinking Tecates and watching college football!
- Remember when George Bush picked Harriet Miers to be the next Supreme Court Justice? Hardly anybody does!
- Ben Bernanke picked to head up the Fed.
- Samuel Alito replaces Harriet Miers, and I keep the Twix for myself on Halloween.
- Remember those wild Carolina Panthers cheerleaders in November?
- My take on the California Special Election, and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's losses on all of his initiatives.
- We'll see if this early prediction of the 2006 Elections comes true.
- Microsoft's XBOX 360 releases November 22nd, to long lines everywhere and crazy bids on Ebay!
- This sell signal from my Black Box looks pretty good in retrospect. And the comment on the "will we get a year-end rally?" on the peak of the October-November rally is a reminder of what the crowds are doing. This was followed up by more sell signals in the financials.
- Arnold Schwarzenegger floats the idea of a $50 billion bond for California. Lets throw everything in there!
- Egads, Stealth was indeed a bad movie!
- More Black Box sell signals on December 5th.
- Eddie Van Halen and Valeri Bertinelli announce they're divorcing.
- I still don't like the new format of CNBC.
- Links to opinions on the Inverted Yield Curve. There have been tons of them since I posted that!
- A few year-end market thoughts and links.
Now, enough of this looking back. It's time to look forward!
